Fees & FAQs

What to expect

I want working with me to feel as safe and transparent as possible. Below you will find details of what a typical session looks like, confidentiality, and answers to questions I am commonly asked.

Fees

Session fees

All sessions are 50 minutes in duration but an 80 minute session for EMDR can be requested. Fees are reviewed annually with any changes being communicated with reasonable notice.  Payment of sessions is due 72 hours in advance, with a full refund if you cancel your session more than 24 hours in advance.  If a cancellation notice is less than 24-hours the fee is non-refundable.

Confidentiality

Your privacy matters

Confidentiality is one of the cornerstones of effective therapy. Everything you share with me is held in strict confidence and will not be disclosed to anyone, including your GP, family members, or employer, without your explicit consent. I take this responsibility seriously, and I will explain my confidentiality policy fully at the start of our work together so that you know exactly where you stand.

Limits to confidentiality

There are a small number of circumstances in which I may be required, legally or ethically, to share information without your consent. These include: if I have serious concerns that you or someone else is at risk of significant harm; if I receive a court order requiring disclosure; or if information comes to light relating to certain criminal acts. In practice, these situations are rare. If I ever felt I needed to act on one of these exceptions, I would always aim to discuss this with you first wherever it was safe to do so. These limits will be explained clearly at the outset of our work.

Private health insurance

I am not registered with any private health insurance providers. However, if you intend to use insurance to fund your therapy, please contact me to discuss further.

Start with a free telephone consultation.

The initial 10-minute call is free and there is no obligation. It is simply a chance to ask questions, discuss your situation, and see whether working together feels right.
